Apple HealthKit Data (iOS App)
When using the Clearview Health iOS app, with your explicit permission, we access the following Apple HealthKit data types from your iPhone and Apple Watch:
- Heart Rate and Resting Heart Rate
- Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
- Step Count and Active Energy Burned
- Oxygen Saturation (SpO2)
- Respiratory Rate
- Sleep Analysis
2. Apple HealthKit — Important Notice
HealthKit data is used solely to share your health readings with your authorized medical care team.
We will never use Apple HealthKit data for advertising, data mining, or any purpose other than direct healthcare coordination with your care team.
- HealthKit data is transmitted exclusively to your authorized medical provider via an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant connection
- HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers
- HealthKit data is never used to train AI models or for any commercial profiling purpose
- You may revoke HealthKit access at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Clearview Health on your iPhone
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Share health data with your explicitly authorized medical care team
- Generate AI-assisted medical documentation (SOAP notes) for your providers
- Send appointment reminders and healthcare notifications via SMS, WhatsApp, and email
- Process consent forms and document signatures
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and security
- Communicate service updates and support
4. SMS/Text Messaging
Consent
By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive SMS messages, you consent to receive appointment reminders, no-show follow-up notifications, consent form requests, and healthcare administrative messages.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your healthcare provider's communication needs. Typically 1–5 messages per month.
Opt-Out
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message
- Contacting your healthcare provider
- Emailing us at support@senditsecured.com

5. HIPAA Compliance
Clearview Health AI and SendItSecured are designed to be HIPAA-compliant. We:
- Encrypt all data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
- Maintain HIPAA-required audit logs of all PHI access
- Sign Business Associate Agreements (BAA) with healthcare providers upon request
- Implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards
- Notify affected users of any PHI breach within 60 days as required by HIPAA
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share information with:
- Your Care Team: Health data is shared only with the medical practice and providers you have authorized
- Epic EHR: If your practice uses Epic, data may sync via FHIR API with your explicit consent
- Service Providers: Twilio (messaging), cloud hosting providers, under strict BAA or confidentiality agreements
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest
- TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit
- JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens
- Role-based access controls
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Secure S3 storage for all documents and health records
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
- Health & HealthKit Data: Retained for the duration of your active account plus 7 years per medical record requirements
- Account Information: Retained until account deletion, then purged within 30 days
- Audit Logs: Retained for 6 years as required by HIPAA
- SMS Consent Records: Retained for 5 years per carrier requirements
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Receive your health data in a portable, machine-readable format
- Revoke Apple HealthKit permissions at any time via iPhone Settings
